Statement of Faith

A. We believe the Bible is verbally inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts and is the infallible and authoritative Word of God. Upon the Bible we base our doctrine, teaching, and practice.
(II Tim. 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21)

B. We believe there is one God eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit who is the creator and sustainer of all things.
(Is. 44:6, Gen. 1:1 & 26, Matt. 3:15-17, Col. 1:15-17)

C. We believe in Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, and in His Deity, His Virgin Birth, His sinless life, His shed blood for atonement, His bodily resurrection, His ascension and future return, and His present intercession for believers.
John 1:18, John 10:30-33, Matt. 1:22-24, Luke 1:34-35, II Cor. 5:21, Eph. 1:7, Luke 24:6 & 39, John 14:1-3, Acts 1:9-11, Heb. 7:25)

D. We believe in the Holy Spirit, a member of the Godhead, and His work in: conviction of sin and bringing people to salvation, indwelling believers and making them children of God through rebirth, and leading believers into all truth and empowering them to live godly lives.
(John 16:8-11, John 3:3, John 16:13-15, Acts 1:8, Gal. 5:22-23)

E. We believe that all humanity is by nature sinful and in rebellion against God and is in need of God's redemption and salvation.
(Rom. 3:10-12 & 23, Rom. 5:8-10 & 12, Col. 1:13-14)

F. We believe that Biblical marriage is the unity of one man and one woman (their gender being determined and finalized at conception) committed in covenant to each other for life. We believe marriage was established by God and instituted between the first man and the first woman.
(Gen. 2:18-25, Rom. 1:18-31, I Cor. 7:2-5, Eph. 5:31-32, Heb. 13:4)

G. We believe that Satan is a created, spiritual being who rebelled against God, and is the enemy of God and humanity. He seeks to destroy humanity through temptation, sin, and lies and who will one day be cast into the Lake of Fire forever.
(Eph. 6:11-12, I Peter 5:8-9, Rev. 20:10)

H. We believe salvation is a free gift offered by God to all humanity. A person is justified by belief in the Lord Jesus Christ, through God's grace and not by works, and is renewed by the Holy Spirit leading to eternal life. Salvation is made possible by the death and shed blood of Jesus Christ.
(Rom. 5:1, Eph. 2:8-9, Titus 3:5-7, Eph. 1:13-14)

I. We believe in the universal church, the Body or Bride of Christ, consisting only of those born of the Spirit, who are justified through the blood of Christ. We believe that one day Christ will return for His church.
(Matt. 16:18, Rom. 12:5, I Cor. 12:12-14, John 14:3)

J. We believe that Christ commissioned the church to go and preach the gospel to all people, near and far, discipling them and teaching them to observe His commands.
(Matt. 28:19-20, Acts 1:8, II Cor. 5:19-20)

K. We believe in two ordinances, established by Jesus Christ for the Church.
  1. Baptism by immersion for believers only as an outward expression of belief in Christ.
    (Matt. 28:19, Acts 8:38, Col 2:12)
  2. 2. Communion (or the Lord's Supper) practiced by obedient believers in Jesus Christ as a remembrance of His sacrifice.
    (Matt. 26:26-28, I Cor. 11:23-29)
L. We believe in the future return of Christ, the resurrection of all people for judgment, the everlasting blessedness of the saved as they are with the Lord and the everlasting punishment of unbelievers.
(I Thes. 4:16-17, John 5:28-29, Rev. 21:3-4, Rev. 20:11-15)
